Europe is in fire and maybe that’s why everybody wants to cheer up the atmosphere.
Not Finland. Finland has sent guys from the Nord: Blind Channel who put the middle finger up to this situation with their song “Dark Side”.
And somehow I like it as I am from Finland, too. Life in Finland is really not a picnic even they tell us that we are the most happy country in the world.
And these are the lyrics:
We’re not in love
We share no stories
Just something in your eyes
Don’t be afraid
The shadows know me
Let’s leave the world behind
Take me through the night
Fall into the dark side
We don’t need the light
We’ll live on the dark side
I see it
Let’s feel it
While we’re still young and fearless
Let go of the light
Fall into the dark side
Fall into the dark side
Give into the dark side
Let go of the light
Fall into the dark side
Beneath the sky
As black as diamonds
We’re running out of time (Time, time)
Don’t wait for truth
To come and blind us
Let’s just believe their lies
Believe it
I see it
I know that you can feel it
No secrets worth keeping
So fool me like I’m dreaming
Take me through the night
Fall into the dark side
We don’t need the light
We’ll live on the dark side
I…
Somehow I want to use this opportunity to share my love to all those young men who have been used and thrown away.
One of those boys was my uncle Armas Litmanen. His father and uncle were killed in Tammisaari prison camp 1918 for no reason. He believed in better world. My mother said that he was a kind of stand up comedian, critical one. My mother loved him and she never knew what happened to him. I know now.

God bless him wherever he might be now. Amen.
